What it is:

Let's face it. Life is stressful, there is no getting around that – yet sometimes the lemons life throws at us overwhelm our ability to cope. When we tend to our anxiety, we free our energy to nourish our dreams instead of our fears. That's where Counselling can help. Stress and anxiety can show up as constant worry, racing thoughts, sleeping irregularities, irritability, panic attacks, or feeling "on edge." Sometimes the cause of the worry is obvious, but other times, it could feel as if your body just won't stop yelling at you.

How to know if you need support:

  • You feel overwhelmed more days than not.
  • Your avoidance of the stressful situations or environment is becoming a problem in everyday life.
  • You have difficulty relaxing, even when nothing is "wrong".
  • Your body feels tense, restless or exhausted.
  • You have trouble sleeping or sleep too much.

  • You feel calmer in situations that used to trigger you.
  • You can notice your patterns and choose a different response.
  • You bounce back more quickly after a stressful event.
  • You've learned how to physically calm your body down.
  • You can think a little more clearly.
